Farmers’ Market Brings the Community Downtown!

Wow! What a night the first night was… things were certainly a’buzz with laughter, kids, music, shopping, food and fun! Some folks come to shop, some to eat, some to get out and enjoy the warm summer evenings and maybe run into their friends and neighbors, some to listen to the music and maybe even kick up their heels and dance! Whatever your pleasure you will certainly find it at the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce’ Farmers’ Market! Next week’s band is The Gene Thorpe Band, so come on down and enjoy the evening! If you are looking for something specific when you come and don’t see it, visit the Chamber’s booth near the plaza for help or information. See you on Thursday nights 5-8pm!

2 chances to win a bag (maybe 2 or 3) full of fruits and vegetables from the local farmers. Raffle tickets are free at the Chamber booth, drawings are held at 6 and 7pm. Stop by and get your ticket next week, one per person including kids!

July 4th Celebration Downtown

Please note the following time change for the Farmers’ Market on July 4th!

July 4th Farmers’ Market will be held from 9am to noon on this day only! The parade will start at 9am begining at A & 5th Streets. It will head West on 5th turing right on F Street (heading North) and then go up 1 block to 6th St and turn right (heading East), it ends at 6th & D Streets.

The fun continues over at McBean Park with vendor booths, food, live bands, games and more!! It finishes with the fireworks display at around 9:00pm. Please call the Chamber for more information, 916-645-2035.

Independence Day Parade

This year the Independence Day parade will be on Thursday, July 4th. The parade starts at 9am and runs West on 5th Street, turning North (right) on F Street, then East on 6th and ends at 6th & E Streets.

NEW! This year, we will include the vendors from our Farmers’ Market during the parade in the plaza from 9am to noon. (There will be no Farmers’ Market at night on this day only!)

The festivities continue in McBean Park at 1:00pm followed by the fireworks at approximately 9:30pm (or when it gets dark).
