Message from our CEO

Greetings Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce Members!

Lincoln ’s history comprises a tapestry of old and new – the City of Lincoln in Northern California, which was once known only for its farming and railroad activities, is a top location to operate a business. Businesses benefit from operating in a city located in a county whose population has increased significantly over the past 12 years. *Based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s list of the “100 Fastest Growing U.S. Counties with 10,000 or more Population in 2005, the City of Lincoln’s population showed the greatest increase of Placer County cities with 294 percent growth from 1996 to 2006. According to the California Department of Finance, the City of Lincoln, with a population of almost 38,000, had the highest annual growth rate (nearly 23 percent) of all California cities from January 2005 to January 2006.

In 2006, Lincoln received an All-America Cities Award given by the National Civic League – the nation’s longest running and most prestigious civic recognition program. The All-America City Award encourages and recognizes civic excellence, honoring communities in which citizens, government, business and nonprofit organizations demonstrate successful resolutions of critical community issues.

Lincoln is located at the base of the Sierra Foothills in South Placer County just 26 miles from the Sacramento International Airport and 30 minutes from the California State Capitol. Lincoln is centrally located between the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe and, shares a common boundary with its neighbors – the cities of Roseville and Rocklin.

The Lincoln Area of Chamber of Commerce Mission is “to market Lincoln as the area of choice in which to live and do business by attracting, assisting, retaining and promoting our members” to create a strong economy by promoting the community, providing networking opportunities and representing the interests of business with government.

On behalf of the Lincoln Area Chamber, we urge you to “Shop Lincoln Area Chamber Members First.” If your business is not already a Chamber member, we invite you to become a Chamber member and participate in our business-to-business and consumer network and referral system.

Please support our Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce businesses listed in the 2008 Directory. Supporting one another in business and community is a gift we can all share.

Wishing you much joy and prosperity,
